Teemu Rämö, Finnish multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, started out on the piano at the age of 5. Coming from a musically oriented family in a small town in Central Finland, his first musical love was classical music and he initially learned to play the piano and become a proficient musician at the local music school.

His early exposure to classical music allowed him to develop a precise technique and excellent all round musicianship. At the age of 15, Teemu finished his main instrument studies at the music school and the next step could’ve been to continue at the conservatory. This was the moment when he started to focus on guitar.

Two years earlier, Teemu picked up the guitar. Although playing the guitar was completely different compared to the piano, the guitar was a new adventure. The first rock concert he experienced was by a Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall and that worked as inspiration for picking up guitar. Soon though, Teemu was playing along to songs from this band.

It wasn’t until Teemu was 16 years old when he started to become aware of rock virtuosos such as Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert. Musically curious and open minded, he soaked up the music and playing of these great players and started to incorporate these influences into his own developing style and sound. Besides that, Teemu was getting interested in blues, jazz, latin and fusion after changing the main instrument to guitar in music school.

After graduating from high school Teemu studied at the Otava Folk High School and there he got educated about recording, mixing, music business and songwriting by the people who’ve done it professionally for years. As the final project in the school Teemu wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered the song ”That’s Enough” which he released on Soundcloud.

In 2014, Teemu started his studies in Music Pedagogy at the Karelia University of Applied Sciences where he started writing his debut album during the first year of his studies. In the spring of 2017 he studied in Danish Royal Academy of Music as an exchange student and one year later he started studying there in a master's programme and graduated from Rhythmic guitar education programme August 2020. During the studies Teemu has performed with different orchestrations starting from duo to big band and guitar sextet.

Teemu released his debut album ”Time To Define” in autumn of 2017 which he wrote for years. The album was written, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Teemu and it was digitally released around the world. Diversity of the influences could be heard on the album in the form of harmonic and technical context. Two years later he released his second album ”Isolation” which had a modern approach to metal music and this time he experimented with songwriting and vocals to expand the artistic vision.

As a final project of Teemu’s studies he decided to take his interest about alternative tunings to a completely different level and write a record with 5 different guitar tunings. As a result Teemu released his third album, “Truthseeker”.

In 2022 Teemu released the EP “Fight Against The World” that was written and recorded during the Corona Pandemic. This was the first EP Teemu recorded in two different remote locations, including his home town Joutsa in Finland.

After doing research and writing songs with alternate tunings for years, Teemu launched his hybrid guitar and songwriting course called “Tunechaser hybrid course” to help guitarists and songwriters, who would like to get started with songwriting or playing with various alternate tunings.

Teemu’s style mixes various modern guitar techniques. From flashy tapping, smooth hybrid picked legato to precise sweep picking and bends, his lead technique and proficiency gives him a unique voice. For rhythm playing Teemu has tight and catchy riffing abilities and experience from playing different genres which makes him a versatile guitar player.
